Newbie Battery Upgrade for Iwaver Mini 4wd
I for xmas gave my son a Iwaver mini 4wd truck.
Whats the best battery upgrade. The aaa batteries dont last long at all??? Should Igo straight to a li ion battery system? I am really new to this but am a mechanic by trade. |

nimh batteries will give you the best bang for your buck. go for the energizer, duracell or eneloop cells available in supermarkets.

Jaycar carry some cheap rechargeable nimh aaa batteries - Powertechs.
Also get some bearings to replace those plastic bushings. |

i agree.. stick with NIMH which you can use in other things around the house as well..
i'd also consider a nice charger like the MAHA MH-9000.. chk out the review.. http://www.digitaldingus.com/reviews...9000/index.php |

I'll hunt down some Sanyo enneeloop AAA's then.
Thanks for the tips. Should I get 6, an extra battery case and wire up the extra 2 cells? |

Just for anyone else that reads this thread
I damaged an Iwaver 02M board with 5 cells.. so be wary with 6..
