the reason i chose cf is because i will be able to work with it using the tools i already have.
aluminium is a more affordable choice but i find it clogs up files and grinding wheels.
i thought of using blank pcb but for a full chassis i don’t think it will be strong enough.
i chose a bad time to hunt for cf too, from what i can gather there appears to be a worlwide shortage of the stuff (i blame them scientists and their carbon nanotube junk!)
the parts i’m replacing are fibreglass reinforced plastic, if i can get hold of that i think it will be my choice.
i should have mentioned it sooner but if anyone can get me a chassis for a hpi rs4 rally/sport then please lemme know!!:D :8ball:
