That serious cannon muffler on the rear of that would surely add a few kws.
That’s a good photo. I’d give him a run at the lights.:)
All I’ve done so far is…
Yeah racing ball bearing kit running dry
8.5mm drift rims
Packed diff with Team associated silicon diff grease.
I’ve got 1.5/3.0 degree negative camber knuckles and the front/rear tie rods which I haven’t installed yet. I’m going to only replace parts for durability on this chassis as I went a little overboard with alloy on my mr02.

So has anyone broken or worn out any parts yet ?
Mine is okay, however I have noticed that the steering seems to stick a little on the odd occassion
I don t have an F1but things to usually check for are:
– binding in the front wheels, wheel nuts could be too tight on one side or the other. Spin them to see if they are free. Clean & flush bearings out with some electric motor spray or wd40
– chassis tweak, place mini-z on flat surface, use an hobby knife to lift the rear up and see if both tyres lift off the ground at the same time, if not, the chassis is tweaked.
– Ensure that ball diff doesn’t bind by cleaning and lubricating with some silicon grease.
– Make sure front king pins don’t bind when compressed. Polish them up if they do.
– Good set of tyres for the surface that you’re running on.

It was me LOL. I took apart the whole car to get to the bloody drive shaft, not knowing that the rear gear just slides off the shaft. Oh well, I guess that’s what happens when you’ve got the exploded view diagram in front of you…

I’ve lubed up the insides of the front and rear diff gears as they are completely dry from the factory. Not sure if Kyosho intended for the gear diffs to run dry.
Talldude,
I’m using firefox and it displays fine with me but I’ll go edit it. Internet Explorer has too many security vulnerabilities – you’d be surprised how many spyware, trojans and viruses get downloaded to the pc just by browsing the web. LOL – I had one get through the firewall, anti virus software identified it but couldn’t remove it. Removing it manually by deleting and removing entries from the registry didn’t work either as it would always reinstall itself on system startup…
Very Nice ! The Ferrari looks pretty good !
Here””s my collection LOL…

Go to the ausmicro shop and look for servo gear sets.
It’s taken me approximately 1.5 hours to put my bearings in. Those two bearings for the shaft require virtually taking the whole car apart and putting the bearing in on the inside of the knuckles also is a challenge. Tweezers are a big help here.
The stock motor still gets hot but touchable after 5 minutes run. You can feel that the stock motor spins up faster, more top speed etc…
I just tried the drift rims. They are made of hard plastic and fit snuggly on to the rim. If you’re a keen drifter then these are a must buy…
For me it’s just the usual bbq with the relatives and family
On Tuesday, it’s a lan party at a mates place where we play various first person shooters.
Then back to work for me.

My Skyline MJ paintwork was fine. I did notice underneath the rear spoiler edges that the paint was a bit rought but it’s so small that you’d need perfect vision and an eye for detail to pick that up.
Anyone got the atomic carbon fiber drive shaft yet ?
Yep, the awd is seriously fun. On my slippery floor tiles, the mr01 over steers and just spins out, but the awd really shines and simply drifts when thrown in to a turn.
I just got some of those awd yeah racing bearings from rc-mart – on first inspection the bearings for the knucles don’t have any metal shields on them, and they were in a poly bag with no labelling.
I’ll fit them tonight and give it a run to see if the motor still gets super hot.
Here’s a link to some option parts that will be available soon.

Check out the motor mounts and clips… They look better than Kyosho’s.
Thanks for the info. Having the motor holes at the bottom would definitely help in cooling but not sure if the caps still need to be mounter on top. Is the rx board directly exposed to the motor can or is there a piece of lexan to shield the heat away from it ?
Does the motor get super hot like the stock one ? Just want to know if the heat only occurs with the stock motor.
It does have braking like the mr02.
Does anyone know why kyosho came out with the 4.5 degree camber knuckle ? Is this knuckle set purely for drifting by minimising tyre contact to the ground ?
You’re going to love it Z-beam. It handles on slippery tiles and floor boards although you can feel the difference of the higher center of gravity/body roll compared to an mr02.
This car is fun. I’m having a ball with the awd but it seriously needs bearings in the front and rear hubs.
Does anyone have them yet ? 5 days after the release and no one claims to have the first one in Australia ?
I’d like to get one as well, but damn with hop ups and all it’s getting very close to the prices of some top 1:10 tourers.
Still saving up for one of them though, early next year..
Not me. I got a birthday party to go to…
So is it released today or the 6th of December ?
