If I have a dual cell with all npn fets and a dual cell with 2 npn fets and 2 pnp fets, will one be faster. The pnp fets have a higher on voltage, but that shouldn’t drop the speed or anything right?

It might if the fets are not turned on fully you might find power to the H bridge restricted slightly. Dual cell with P & N fets does work well, but I havent actually trested them side by side, I usually just use N chanel fets as they are lower resistance anyway (I think ?)

the one with all n-chan fets will be faster. the p-chans are prolly the IRLML6401 model that isn’t as efficient as the IRLML2502 (nchan).
speed difference will be minimal though. torque on the other hand…………

…will be less efficient also

Will triple stacking them require more on voltage? That would be parrallel, so it should be the same right?

yea, I’m sure he’s a busy busy boy….. 🙂I am still here on most days just for a peek and to see whats happening. Work is overwhelming atm, but has its good points as well ($$$)

I think so… since fets are stacked parallel same voltage is aplied on each fet….

Not so, so long as the gates are connected in parrallel as well all of the connected fets will only need the same voltage to be turned on.
If you know what I mean,

Sorry, I just got back to the States, and am working on getting all nestled in. Work on this project is on/off. Will get the project done soon though.
It is good to see you back.
