      i m hoping someone can help me…

my 40mhz bit won t charge when put onto it s controller. i ve tried to charge it on a different controller and that works fine, so it s a problem with the handset itself.

when the bit s charged it can be operated perfectly with the (non-charging) controller, so it s only a problem with the actual charging.

when i connect the car to the handset the charging led flashes once, then nothing. when the 2 contact points on the controller are touched to each other, the same.

so it recognises there s a circuit, it just doesn t seem to actually charge the bit.

      batteries are new, etc.

if anyone has had this problem or knows about it, i d be grateful.

Have you tried holding/wriggling it down?? Perhaps a bad contact……

If that doesn’t work, it may be something more complicated……….

i (carefully) disassembled the controller last night to see it there was anything that had come loose or visibly broken, but nothing stood out.

      how irksome!

Might be a faulty component in there. You might just have to tolerate charging it on another controller and then running it with that one.

i do, but i really wouldn’t know where to begin.

any ideas on what could be a likely area to start poking around with it?

if not, i guess i’ll just have to start from the start…

      never! that’d be too annoying.

i’m sure it can be fixed. oh, perhaps i should have mentioned that it used to work fine, just now it’s stopped. it wasn’t dropped or anything like that, so it’s strange…

in any case, i will see it fixed!

I would recomend taking it back for another car or your money. I agree with MA. It’s something faulty, and would be most quickly fixed by replacing it.
