I hear graphite based oils are the best because something about them not attracting hair and such.

Any form of oil or grease on a car this small is a bad idea – as it will attract dust and dirt – making a lovely grinding paste to wear out your gears !! In fact – grease would increase friction somewhat.

Keeping the drive train free and clean is a much more effective method.

Tamiya were well renowned for suggesting grease and oil everywhere on cars – made parts wear out double quick – great for them – you had to keep buying spares !!

      Just a suggestion

      Cheers

yeah… i was thinking of using a light silicon spray-on…. but decided against it.

grease would only attract gunk 🙁

Grease of any kind is bad, but you can rub graphite powder into areas that experience friction. It will make a smoother contact surface.

Note: make sure any excess powder is blown out before running your bit!
