What is the New ausmicro.com Members Gallery?
ausmicro.com members are part of a Community that values sharing our experiences and skills with all the other members of the group! To help with this ausmicro.com has built an exciting new Members Gallery where members can upload pictures and match them with test and have it all laid out and hosted without any cost to them. No HTML or FTP skills are needed, simply use your web browser to start!

We hope you enjoy this exciting new feature of our ever growing website!

      How to Manage your Gallery
The Members Gallery has two user configuration pages. They are both available for you to set up via your “Control Panel (Follow the link or click the Control Panel Icon below the Logout Button on the upper right.

      Adding and Editing Gallery Items
When your “Control Panel” opens you can select the “Manage your Member Gallery link from the menu on the left. This will take you to a page where you can change the contents of your Gallery. This page has Basic instructions included.

The basics are: Your Gallery can hold two times as many files as you can display – so you can ‘rotate’ pictures and entries to show people different things. You can elect to make individual items visible or invisble in your Gallery.

      Hiding your Gallery
If you want to update your Gallery without having people seeing the changing content, or you are sick of having people look at all your cool stuff you can turn your Gallery Off. Just Edit your Profile (Select the menu item from the Control Panel menu) – the Gallery Enable/Disable function is pretty clearly marked.

      Admin can lock your gallery
Admin can lock your Gallery, you’ll still be able to edit the items in the Gallery but people won’t be able to view them. If the Admin has locked your Gallery you will get a PM explaining why. You will also see warnings on your Profile page and on the Gallery Manager Page.

      How big is my Gallery?
The Members Gallery changes size depending on your Support Level on ausmicro.com.

Normal users have 20 Gallery Slots, with 10 of those viewable by the public at any time. More information on the ausmicro.com Supporters Level will be posted soon. Each of the Levels above the current “Normal User” level get a larger Gallery with more Slots, and Higher resolution images (and matching larger file sizes).

      What are the Rules?
The rules are simple. This is a way for you to share pictures of you greatest works and coolest toys with the world. It’s not an image bank system, please only post links to your Gallery page, not individual pictures. The full Terms and Conditions appear during the upload image process.

GIF and JPG files should both work. The images will be resized and re-compressed (including a watermark) to the size that is allocated for your member support level. For a “Normal” user this is 640×480.

File sizes are restricted mainly by the speed of your link to the Internet, the script will time out before really big images upload. I’ve also set a maximum size of 2MB on all uploads.
