Whilst racing my mini-z at the Meadowbank netball courts on Sunday a little kid about 6 years old rode over the top of my mini-z with his bike. The last thing we all heard was “Sorrry….” as he sprinted off into the bushes.

I guess thats s the risk you take when racing in an area open to the public, but it seems like little kids just don t get it and ride across the courts right in front of you. They seem attracted to the cars and proceed to chase them with their bikes for some reason.

Fortunately, minor damage to the chassis, the Porsche shell was cracked and salvaged by Josh. My pinion/spur gears make clicking noises as they are nolonger perfectly meshing my motor clip has snapped and the bottom of the chassis is scratched from the impact.

That wasn t the only incident – we had an adult woman running across the courts who stepped on Dgs s skyline – she didn t say “sorry” 👿

I think from now on we need to choose a court in the corner which doesn t see so much bloody kiddy traffic – either that or get focker to light more bungers (sp?) or we bring alcohol and hoon around…

That reminds me….a week ago I was at siahhra tennis courts in Killara when I let a kid have a go of my nsx (i know i know). I specifically told the kid to throttle off and he just depressed it all the way down….until it smashed, full speed, into the concrete wall. Needless to say, I am one h-plate down and one body in need of weld therapy.

Needless to say, he was just 4 years old. figures. He asked if he can ‘mind’ my mini-z. I’m nice, but nice to a certain degree :).

ouch! all i can suggest is bring a tin can car along for whining sissies to muck around with.

the nails, alkyhol and traffic cones sound good too.

i got some wicked 1 inch spikey studs in sydney last time i was down south, they could be attached for some shoe/tyre f*ck-off factor.

did you catch up with that lady and tell her how much she just cost you?

i woulda got that kids bike and run over it with a real car!

now you guys understand why i dont like little kids near my stuff!

will both cars be alright for this sunday?

Josh had a bunch of half cut tennis balls and we were using them as “domes” – but that didn’t stop the kids riding over them or kicking them to another court. At one stage we had “gang” of 6 kids on bikes and one 4 year old on a tri-cycle ride across the court that we were racing on – they were having there own race it seemed.

The woman that was running across the courts that stepped on Dgs’s gtr was trying to get to her crying daughter who had fallen from her bicycle.

Fortunately no visual damage occurred to his mini-z but after that, his car’s handling was off somewhat…

Like Jamie says, kids and parents there have no idea on the cost of these cars and consider them as cheap rc toys.

Talldude, I won’t be there this coming Sunday, maybe the following depending on whether my new parts get delivered before then. Just becareful when you race your rc cars out there and give’em the good old “get tha fack out of ‘ere” if they venture in too close.

Geo, sorry to hear about your Z – that nsx is a nice shell – did it explode on impact ? or just paint ? I think I’ll be sticking to i-waver shells from now on.

well they say in the wild never to get in between a mother and its child. i guess the same rule applies to racing mini z’s now!

we should always go to a corner court but then they will still follow us, so i guess we can always yell at em lol.

i still remember that little fluff ball rat (i mean dog) that came onto our track whilst racing, still gotta thank the guy that hit it with ther z 😀

Seriously get some cones or something and actually claim our area, or use a kid as an example and scream the crap out of him.

Nobody should come between mother and child, nobody should come between Bloke and Mini Z.

If some little kid trod on my mini Z, i’d flip, regardless of his bitch momma, i’d trash his bike. Well….maybe not…It almost happened once, a pair of twins chased it (when it was running an X speed and standard ESC….bah….slow) and i didnt know what to do, i could just see it going “crunch!”, but i was lucky.

perhaps make a sign guys, something like “You Toucha Ma Car, I Slappa Your Face” or something that deters people, stating the value of your machines etc……though a 6 y.o. kid won’t take any notice of them.

Howabout an electric fence….everybody knows not to screw with those.

Even Kyosho know that, they say so in the manual!!

Lol man, sorry about the monster, but picturing it in ones mind brings a grin. (You know what I mean)

      its funny…NOT
One moment your driving a car next min you have 4-5 kids following you if it be bike or running around mindless… GRRRRRRR (mine iwanna CAAAR….) FUCK OF !!!!!!!!!!!!
Like i said earlier its heart in mouth kinda stuff…
We had a real car on the courts on sunday as a power source, maybe we could zone the area of with real cars (stupid i know) or like jammie said a big fucking sign to display the words
CONTROL YOUR KIDS/THESE ARE NOT TOYS/WE WILL YELL AT YOUR KIDS AND THEN AT YOU +++ or something of the like.
Dave can do a sign or i will write it on cardboard, whatever

Any other wording idears for the sign feel free to add

Im going to do all in my power and i mean it because im sick of them kids spoiling are fun and putting us all on edge just because they think its fun because its not…and i think parents know this yet do nothing:evil: 👿 👿
The area is there for all to use if only some people had more common sence…
of to a corner we go.:)

a portable electric fence running off d cells only costs about $100 (posts, nylon ribbon with steel wire and the capacitor box), if you keep having to buy new parts it could be a wise investment.

Get a 1/8 Nitro Monster Truck and use that to chase off the kids. I heard last time a kid ran onto a nitro track, got hit by one of nitros and legs broken, blood everywhere.

result of my Z getting trampled; both knuckle shafte bent (now i’ve got 10 degree camber!!! lol), bent diff shaft, cracked XaNaVi shell (discovered when servicing that night.) Same woman that stepped on the thing was floating around later with her brat, so he could watch. I think she was there to check how many Zs were taken out… Bad luck lady, takes alot more than that to kill mine!!! Tim; if you feel comfortable about sounding down a six year old, then public relations moght not be a career choice for you… Talldude; target practice!!! hehehe Tim; read the above again, too. I copped more than a kid going “vroom vroom” matey…

I did 3 hours of servicing last night and my diff shaft looks slightly bent as well. 🙁

So far the damage would amount to

      ASC Body Porsche GT3 $22.90
3 Racing Ball Diff (can I get shafts for these?) $13.00
3 Racing Motor Heat Sink $3.50
      3 Racing Spur/Pinin Gear $3.50
      Shipping ~ $12.00
Total $51.40 converted to AUD $79.00

The corner court is looking very attractive at this moment. The kids don’t ride their bikes on grass right ???

damn kids i know we where young once but the ones at meadowbank lack brain cells!

like really how many times have they gone up to us and bothered us that badly we had to stop lol.

i know its a good pr thing talking to peeps who ask questions but all the kids want to do is play with our Z’s and smash into each other.

we should be more selective where we set up and prevent kids from riding on our stuff.

      end of rant.

i’ve got no problem saying no before the question is even out of there mouths… but we should maybe move nearer the edge. Either way though, these cars seem to be magnets for brats. Pete; probably good that only Focker used the HPI, it centres the blame right at him. What was I thinking giving him a go? I’m a git.

What is it with parents these days??? If i did that when i was little I would have copped a beating!!

Petewah, i know it’s not funny, just the way bithed explained how his son “defeated the monster”

Perhaps you need something more effective to rid the kids…..like a snow plough….or more like kid plough….
