Hi,
The motor will fit in any Mini-Z, but because it draws a lot more power than a stock motor you should have ‘stronger’ FETs installed into your car. There’s two ways of doing this. The Externally mounted ‘Woah Nelly’ and the Internally mounted FET stack.
The ausmicro.com Shop can supply FETs for you to stack, or ph2t (an ausmicro.com member) can supply a Woah Nelly.
FETs: shop.ausmicro.net

I had try the i-Waver X-Speed Pro before, it burn my stock Kyosho Mini-Z PCB FET. Althought I puted it on my 2×5 4562 FET Kyosho Mini-Z MR-01, it was slower than Kyosho X-Speed motor.
If you want some motor can fit on stock PCB (Mini-Z or i-Waver) with good result, I will say Kyosho X-Speed, PNStock andAtomic Stock, but not i-Waver motors.

ak73 pro a , welcome to ausmicro! 🙂
The xspeed pro is what is called a ‘hot’ motor. A ‘hot’ motor requires a mosfet upgrade (stacking) or an external turbo to run.
For stacking mosfets on the IW-02 I reccomend the IRF7317 mosfets from the ausmicro.com shop. They are equal to the popular si4562 mosfets that you may find in your investigations.
For stacking mosfets in the IW-02, I wrote this review (inc pictures) here:
For the IRF7317 mosfets, go here:
http://shop.ausmicro.net/product_info.php?products_id=31&osCsid=e3288f5a1d395823425a6ecfb22eefe0
Best price you will find, including for international!
hope this helps.

Before I will order the IW02, I have a lot of quesions:
1. What is servo saver?, do I need this?
2. Do I need rear shock set?
3. I would like to buy some bearings, does it fit on stock IW wheels? Or do I have to buy new wheels for the bearings?
Thanks for help.

Servo saver,
On the car when you buy it…Shocks can work for you or agaist depending on how your car is set up…
Bearings will fit iWaver or Kyosho sets without having to buy wheels to fit….
Get some Alloy wheels down the track for bling Reasons.Ball diff,
I recomend that you buy 1 for tracking reasons…Carbon H plates,
Are a must. There are many aftermarket parts you can buy:smiley2: Just ask Questions like you are and try multiple setups and note what works and what dosen’t
And have Fun:p

I always recommend the bearins and ball diff for starters. No matter what teh Mini-Z chassis (or iWaver equivalent) they make all the difference to the performance.
Once you have that get used ot the handling and work out what you need to make the car handle to suit your driving style.
Springs, dampers, hot motors etc all only help you hit solid things faster, this will happen a lot while you’re getting used the car.

I’ve not heard of them before but will do some reading today and get back to you. The main FETs used in Mini-Z are: IRF7317 (that I sell), IRF7389 (that I used to sell), SI4562DY (that most others sell for way mroe than they’re worth).

I would strongly recommend against the chips you mentioned. Just read a few quick links and they’re not up to the task with hot motors.

Not even when I stack 2×8 (total 8 fets)?

I have an IWI02 with 2×6 IRF 7317 ans I run with the X-Speed pro with a 12t pignon 😉
I can tell you then the police isn””t happy(64km/h-40mph)!!!
And I haven””t got any problems
I run with 2×2 2/3 AA and it””s okay.
But I think than the Palzamatomic is better because is has moretorque, so better on littletrack andthe X-Speed pro drawes to muchAMP for AAA batreries.
So, have lot”s of fun with your crazy cars 😉
