Well it took a verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry long time to make, due to the fact that everytime it a little bit was done to it i would play with my bits and race on the track thus forgetting to do more work on it!
You see i had an old computer table which was going to be thrown out so i turned it into a track!
but in the end im happy with it :smiley16:
here is an over view of the track itself. it measures 191 cm long and 122 cm wide!
Nice wide lanes with barriers on the side(provided by this site, thank you very much!) i added trees/forrest to add the effect that you dont know(cant see) whats on the other side of the trees.
whats a forrests without widelife……….
starting grid (zip zap se in pic)
entrance to pitt lane (note the super pullbacks)
pitt lane, ramp and tomy bit racer timing set up
other side of pitt lane part of the internal technical part of the track
in essense its two tracks in one, with the outside track for those high speed races while if i use the ramp and bridge layout it turns into a very technical track!
well that is that, been meaning to show my track for a while ive got a movie ill put it up later as soon as i can find someone to host it for me.
tell us what you think about it!

What rpm?s can you use. I?m guessing 2.2 at the most, maybe more when you?re experienced, or…!?

well for the BCG bits i own i use 2.2’s (fet moded) and it suits them very well. i have used a 3.0 in a booster bit and it was crazy lots of fun :D.
with my zipzap se i use a i think its a 2.2 aswell the se loves going around the outside track but cant handle the bridge that well not enuff torque i suppose.
its lots of fun with 2 or more people racing
heres some more pics
this corner is very trickie if you cut the cicane thing your bit can go on two wheels!
i went a bit crazy with the fake nature stuff :smiley2:Edited by – TallduDe on 14 July 2004 00:29:51

that is very nice indeed! must have cost at least $100 on trees alone, youre racing through a forest…
whats the angle of the bridge? i have always left them off my tracks cos i thought they would drain to much power…
marvelous work there talldude!!!:smiley2:

to answer the question about the ramp its a 45 degree incline.
it didnt cost me that much and considering it was spread over a year the cost wasnt noticed by my bank balance.
you see i got the table which is the legs of the track for free.
i got the wood which makes the surface for free (was in my bros shed)
i got the foam which makes the barriers for free (found it at the back of a fish store)
and therest of the stuff i got off ebay or was on special at hobby shops :D.one day all of u guys can come over as long as u bring the beer!
btw heres a vid of my track kinda a on board shot like real touring car vid 😀

what sort of motor do you find best suited for that setup, Tallie? And does it have the power to pull itself up that hill… I said it before and i’ll say it again… that track is awesome. Mate i’m in, Pete, Josh, Novin… hehehe:D

Damn dude that is saaaaweeeeeeeeeeeeeeetttttaaaaa

July 15, 2004 at 5:48 pm #31464
a 2.2 is the best all round motor i find for bcg’s but the clone motors in perfections and lxx dont go that bad either.
the mini perfection i have uses a 3.8 motor and with its boost system works well.
depends on what type of race i feel up to so i change motors. i sometimes put barriers across the track and make my bits jump over it they get some cool air time (kinda like josh jumping his mini z over those ramps!).
thanks again for the comments guys, do you see any way to improve the track?
im kinda working on it all the time….
couldnt help myself heres more pics ran out of room in ausmicro gallery so heres a few link

July 16, 2004 at 4:46 pm #31354
Your beer is outnumbered by people…..Thats a potential problem…
-
July 16, 2004 at 4:53 pm #31353
not so, my man… a case’ll only see me through the first couple of hours… and everyone else has to have a couple… We could race for beers… ie. 1st gets 3, 2nd gets 2, 3rd gets one, last has to scull a 6-pack, etc…:smiley16:
-
July 16, 2004 at 6:24 pm #31339
haha nice…..i’ve got the carton of TED in my schoolbag, it only just fit in (fairly big bag!). Just better not get caught……weighs a lot too and goes “chink” “chink” every time i move…
