      does anyone know of an easy way to fix the on/off switch on a miniZ? mine`s been pushed in so now it`s hard to turn on and off.. can you try to pull it down with tweezers or is that a bad idea??

      the on off switch clips into position. take the pcb cover off, remove the motor terminal screws first. carefully lift the pcb from the rear to expose the juicy innards! just push the switch back into place so the little side clips hold it in place. that’s it, put it all back together carefully and drive it til you break something else!:D:8ball:

      did the on/off switch get pushed in due to the fact that you were jumping the z over the ramp the other day dude?? :p hahahahaaa

      yes. of course. Tis all fixed now. And not just one day’s jumping, mind you. I’m suprised all his soldering was still doing it’s job… betty.k; I give it a week before something else breaks. (mainly due to the fact it spends half of its time a foot or so above the ground, and landing is not always perfect…)

      if we can work out some kind of carpet landing area, i can only see about half the problems getting me again.. maybe less!! you just need a good take off to do a good landing!!!

      that’s it… tonight we set up a jump circuit… afew plates and banked turns and… hang on… you dont have a monster! Come on matey, when when WHEN!!! Dont get a second racer, get a monster… you know you want to… gotta have someone close to my area to have a bash against!! we’ve got afew offcuts of carpet sitting around at home Josh, maybe we could incorporate them into the mix, especially down the courts…

      :evil:petWah:evil:; you’re doing a Timmy, mate… read the date at the top where Josh poses the question, you’ll find that he posted that well before heading around last night… and now it is fixed… we are talking about potential issues caused by jumping Zs… only other thing I know of is a jammed steering servo… what you know about that then?:smiley2:

      LOL pinch and a punch… :evil::evil::evil: YOU

      what im refering to was what josh said about the other problems is all… BE NICE:smiley2::smiley2::smiley2:
      And you just pointed one out and thats stripping servo gears 2nd is blowing or splitting the box that they (servo gears) are sitting in
      (not as likely)…

      AS i know coming down on a weird angle on your front can shatter a servo box on a 1/10 completely…:D:smiley2::D

      Apollo G please…:smiley2::smiley2::smiley2:

      betty; I think you may be right in one respect… the racer does have a servo box to keep things safer, while the monster’s servos are not cased (not the same way…) but after running into poles, walls, etc with the racer, and only one wall contact with the monster, the racer has broken nothing, while the monster damper stay snapped easy as… Kevsta; you would not catch me doing it!! Makes me wincw when I see it happen, but it does look kind of cool seeing it… Petewah; ah Pete, sorry dude… the other issues are ones you’ve witnessed

      yeah i refused to jump my racer i know its a rally car but you never see a rally car jump off a ramp!

      i have got it a little air borne off the ditch in between courts but thats as far as i would go.

      the monster on the other hand, i will jump all the time!

      i hear ya loud and clear!! those ditches can be downright annoying, especially when due to timing you’ve got no choise but to hammer through there at top speed… the resulting sound of Z rejoining the surface is less than apetising… THUD

      This is true dave with a almoast charged set yes, but with a lesser charged set of batts you can float it through the dip without a sound in places…
      thats why i like the dip, but never at full speed.

      yeah, I did’nt want to mention that, but rally cars do see to spend a lot of time in the air… but on the other hand they’re on dirt when not airborn. Pass on that for a Z, even if it was a rally version…

      yeah i know rally cars jump off bumps in the road but not ramps! lol

      thats why i said they hop over those bumps in the courts, if we did a scal thing im sure it would be the same as a rally car in real life. :p

      if you want to jump stuff get a monster Z or mini T. but make sure you got alloy parts on a Z monster those front shock stays snap real easy.

      alloy dampers are available…woot!!! Anyway, if scale came into it, multiply Josh’s one foot or so of air by the scale (27), you get 27 feet. I’d like to see any rally car do that and all parts survive… Talldude; damn straight!!

      just a silly expression I use every now and then… a thought though, Talldude… when those alloy damper stays go in it’s just going to create a new weak spot elsewhere
