Well I know that a few of the Sydney guys saw just how good these are today with dgs73 finally being able to make his lead-tipped-arrow rocket sled take the curves with style!

I will be placing and order for stock of these tyres mid next week and they will be available when I get back from Queensland after the 20th of October!

We ve been running these tyres on the ausmicro.com cars in-house for close to a year on all sorts of surfaces (timber, concrete, tile, carpet) but had to hand them to a trusted outside tester to be sure they d really be the goods .

Expect the price to be about $15 a set plus $2 for delivery.

They will be available in “Standard” width and “Wide” in both “Soft” and “Medium” compound. We will be stocking all variants.

We run a few lightly modded (suspension and FETs with stock and X-Speeds) cars for testing of stuff and for enjoyment.

Pics of our ‘new’ Skyline shell will be up eventually, once it’s back from it’s little ‘trip’.

They’re basically just cars we test fit patrs to, test drive stuff and all that.

Will the wide set have the front wheels offsetted by the usual 2.5mm ?

kev, it’s the wheel that does the offsetting, the only thing you need to worry about is if they’re wide, semi wide or narrow:8ball:

How can someone like myself place an order (say 3 or 4 sets:) for these?

*NOTE* Power Tyres Foamies come pre-bonded to Chrome Rims. The Wide and Standard width rims are exactly the same offsets as Kyosho wheels of the same width.

Roe I’ll be working out final pricing etc tomorrow and will post details then.

Essentially they will become a stock item (like bearings, nuts, heatsinks for motor and batteries) but the first order will probably have a lot of pre-order space.

Are there any other style of rim, Or are they mostly a porsche style:smiley2:

As dave said to you last night Aaron, There looked to be no tyre wear whatsoever front or back which is a good sign being that its a rubberised concrete surface…

The compound that you gave him were soft which is even more suprising that they held up

No other ‘style’ choices. They’re not there for looks 😉

Yeah I took a guess that ‘soft’ would do the trick – I’ve tried mediums on everythign and still got bugger all wear. But they do need to get warm to grip. I belive ‘Soft’ will work right up into summer then you guys may want to try ‘Medium’

      Hi,

I’d like a wide set in medium hardness when they become available.

There must be something special about these tyres, as my GPM foams didn’t last 2 laps at TFTR before they were completely stuffed…

i’m very keen to get quite a few sets of these things, they grip like s**t and the car rolls as silent as… two sets of narrow soft and a set of wide soft, thanks.
