      I just got a Zip Zap today from one of my homies and i was drivin it around just fine. then a little while later i put it on the contoller to charge but it was off then turned it back on and indicated that it wasnt charging. So i turned it off then back on and the same thing happend. Then i charged it and it was goin so that was allright. Next i left it alone for a while then it wont go or turn. It will indicate that it will charge the battery but it still wont go. Nothing is disconnected or shorted in the controller and nothing is disconnected in the ZZ itself. Does ne one know what is wrong with it. Maybe the antenna in the ZZ touched the PCB and fried something.

      try pressing on different parts of the pcb while holding a controller button down. maybe it looks connected but isn’t. tried different motors/batt’s in it yet? maybe your homie aint the shizzle after all?!!:dead::8ball:

      I havnt tried that yet but i tried pulling them out and yes they were all connected, ill try it ne ways. I havnt tried motors because it will not turn either. And i have replaced inside the car battery and remote batteries. Question: Is the green LED in the controller supposed to turn red when you move or just when you charge the car.

      Is it a SE or original ZZ? This happened to me with a ZZSE. I took of the front piece of plastic (unscrewed) inside, on top of the pcb and it worked fine. Somehow it must have been pushing on something just the right way to short a component. That’s just a guess, but it works now.

      The LED turns red when charging, turn green when chargiIt sounds like the batts in the controller ran out. Change new batts in the TX.

      if you still have problems, try asking on a us based site. there’s not a lot of zz’s down here. i’ve personally never laid eyes on one:8ball:

      Sounds like a connection from the battery to the pcb is loose or off completely. If so, then all you need to do is resolder it. Have you checked all the wires inside it? Or you could try this;
      Take the battery out and clean the battery connection pieces and the battery with a pencil eraser. Sometimes it gets a little corrosion on it. I doubt it’s that, but maybe just taking the battery out and reseating it will fix it.
      Have you done any modifications to it yet?

      Basically, if it charges, but doesn’t run, then there is most likely a problem somewhere between the battery and the pcb. If it charges and the front wheels turn, but the back wheels don’t turn, then it’s a problem with the motor. If it runs while on the charger, then it’s a problem with the battery terminals inside the car or the batteries themselves. When it’s on the charger, it’s using the charger’s batteries to run the car, not the cars battery.

      I think we could narrow the problem down. Let me know. I’ll keep an eye on this.

      Ok, the front wheels wont turn. The rear wills wont roll. It doesnt go when i put it on the charger and press on the accel. I havnt done any modifications to it yet. but ill try the battery terminals.

      Check the wires when you’re in there. Specifically the red and the black ones.

      All the wires are fine. Something must be fried. Ill just try to muster up some more money and buy another one and use this one for parts or tests.

      That’s really odd. I’ve never heard of a stock bit or zz that just stop working, and then it’s not something simple. The only other idea I have is to look at the pcb and see if any of the components where knocked loose. Sorry I couldn’t be of more use.

      If you have it on the charger and it says it’s charging, then you press on one of the buttons and there’s no response to the controller (the fron should turn or the rear should spin while on the charger), I would think there’s something wrong with connection tabs under the car. I have had problems where the metal tabs under the car were pushed foward just slightly and so the car never charged right. Try using a small screwdriver or something to push them all the way toward the rear of the car. Also, use a small eraser to clean these tabs off if you see some residue building up on them.
