I noticed that the new series of 4.2 is far better than the old Pro and King. I ordered 2 of them and they have the same performance so I guess that wasn`t just luck…. It is the BEST motor available, far beyond Phast or BCG 3.8.
Betty K.: Remember the “dark-blue” cap 3.5 non-brand motor that beats
all 4.2 ? The new 4.2 is exactly the same I beleive… -

the pink endcap bcg motors 3.8’s are only sold through tinyrc. the perfection 3.8’s are blue and the cream coloured one is most likely a 4.2:8ball:

I’m not so sure that BCG really does make a 3.8. I’m skeptical about TRC selling it that way. BCG’s are from Japan. I was over there for 4+ years and never saw this motor anywhere. Plus I’ve never heard of it anywhere else either. I like TRC, but I’ve never bought from their store. I know the money goes to support the site, but the prices are still too high. Their R-spec II is $10! And that’s suppost to be on sale!
They have alot of motors that are under different names. I’m kinda curious about that. I wonder if they just change the end-bell and rename it.

OOOOHHHHH! I see now that I was ignorant. Thanx for clearing that up B. I still think some companies are a little sketchy. But then again I wouldn’t know either way.

You’re talking about a normal 4.2 motor like this?

I think that is the old version wich perormance is not so good.
The ones we are talking came in a transparent package in a “minicooper” style. Available at Toyeast…. -

Umm, I don’t know if this information is accurate, but I was browsing RCMiniRacer, and they have two Perfection 4.2 motors. One of them (the one that betty.k just posted) supposedly has lower torque, 35 newtons per meter (same torque as a 3.8). But the other one has higher torque at the same price, 39 newtons per meter.
