Hi fellow Zeds,
I tried assembling and fitting this part in and found that it is slightly longer than the original stock part by 0.3mm . When the alloy front bulk head is fitted it pushes the stabilizer bar upwards and basically doesn t sit properly.
Did anyone else experience the same problem with this brand of hop up ? Did you shorten it by filing the holes in the front h-plate or did you cut the screws that are protruding from the front of the h-plate.
Also, with the rcrm roll-shock set, the screws that hold on to the rear springs will only allow you to tighten so that they stick out by 2mm according to the instructions. I find this strange – is there a reason why they supplied longer screws than normal ? I get the feeling that this hop up is pure eye candy, as the H-Plate seems to provide adequate rolling resistance. But the rear damper spring is good. :smiley16:
Thanks for your help.
Cheers,

not sure about your front stabilizer, maybe try shaving down the plastic, but dont cut those screws unless you need to! As for the roll shock, it does have longer screws, its so the two carbon pieces are’nt taking the load the whole time, know what I mean? Hard one to describe, this… once all screws ae in, there is a couple of mm play between shock top and carbon mount. Oh, for some instructions with some of these parts, eh?!?:clown:

Just checked out the display vehicle at hobby co in the city and the front stabilizer bar is also showing the same faults as what mine is experiencing.
When you tighten the screws at the front of the alloy front bulk head it forces the stabilizer bar higher and it doesn’t easily spring back to its normal position.
Might have to revert back to the original kyosho or keep running with a slammed porsche.

With the front stabilizer, file/drill out the kingpin holes so it sits flat on the front knuckles. I did this to my topcad stabilizer and it’s great. Cut small 4-5mm pieces of bit char-g tyres, and put them under the front pivot on the stabilizer to remove the play.
I have never owned a rear roll damper, and they really can’t be called dampers, because they are just a spring (unless you get the oil shocks), I don’t have any space due to the 2 extra cells anyway!

Sounds like a good idea.
I’m going to give it ago and file open those holes.
Thanks.:)
