i just bought a alloy servo gear no.1 but i seem to be having issues with steering as the other two gears are plastic.. does any1 no a way to cure this or does any1 have any alloy servo gear 2 and 3 that they are trying to sell?

He might be getting meshing issues between 1 and 2 by the way his post is written. If memory serves me correctly, he’s got delrin 2 and 3.
Not sure of the brand though, Kyosho ?

I used to run GPM alloy 1st with both 2&3 kyosho and also topcad 2&3, never had issues…

problem solved… 3 minutes work last night. #2 gear done in. Focca’s car needs all alloy steering/servo parts to survive his driving style:smiley2:

It needs more than 3 mins work but hay, Tis what happens if you like to treat your cars like shit and jump them accros a room…he need all alloy 2 & 3 and alloy tie rod and one needs to learn a new driving style end of story:smiley2::approve::smiley2:

i discovered my problem.. i had lost a tooth in the 2nd gear..now i have a alloy a delrim and a standard gear in and it seems to be running better then ever. go figure…

i’ve discovered that a full alloy steering setup is just as bad. i’d go for the mro2 purely for the servo saver:8ball:

I’ve seen a servo saver for the MR01…. Was in a parts list somewhere – I’ll see if I can dig up a pic.

I feel if he needs that much alloy he’s in the wrong scale of r/c cars… these just wont stand up to what they’re doing

i too came to that conclusion, that’s why i’m leaving z’s behind. my xmod has taken ten times the beating and is only now out of action. parts are on the way but!:smiley2::8ball:
