something cool by nasa

i was just flicking thru the channels and on the abc news they had this story about nasa building these remote control car’s. There is something differnt about these ones but. they are all full 1/1 scale hummers and other 4wds. they are building them for the army or something, i didnt see the full story but they look might cool.

you think thats cool, have a search for the substance called aerogel. it’s called solid smoke by some as well. nasa developed it and seems very alien inspired technology.

it is very lite, works like a highly efficient capacitor and is opaque like smoke when made on earth. they have made some batches in space and it is almost perfectly clear. and it shatters too.

on discovery channels “junkyard wars” once two teams built a 1:1 car rigged up with servos and ramming weapons and had a remote control madmax style car war. it was awesome! the winning car mannadged to cripple the other by piercing the main control box on the drivers seat.
