Hi guys how are ya’z?
i just picked up a mini-z and got a few questions to ask 🙂1/ is it normal for the steering to glitch a little bit while having the car in netural/still, it also makes abit of noise like a digital servo on a 1/10 scale car. And i also think this is the cause for the car not being able to go straight no matter how i fiddle with the trims on the TX.
2/ does the car seem to take off faster in reverse ? haha mine does mini wheel spins in reverse!
all comments appreicated thanks guys 🙂

ok
1/ analogue trims are hard to get rite s be very gentle with them and u will get it going straight as for the glitching pack out the servo pot. and it should stop
2/ this has to do with the weight distrobution being behind the direction of acceleration or sumthing.. so nothing really special there. UNLESS your motor is in backwards and you have servo reversing on.. i havnt looked at many mini-z PCBs but the reverse may be current limited.. and if it is backward.. your foward is reverse and reverse is foward.. if u get wat im sayin -

and as with the car not going straight i noticed one wheel feels like the camber is set at negative with a touch of toe in, or maybe just a worn plastic part.2/ this has to do with the weight distrobution being behind the direction of acceleration or sumthing.. so nothing really special there. haha yes i know what ya mean :p but by looking at the perfex TX it doesnt show any servo reversing switches, maybe its the weight distribution but do you guys get the same effect? it also sounds louder in reverse i reakon.
3/ i also notice abit of free play in the steering linkages this is normal as well?
and thanks merc blue 🙂

your knuckles sound like they might be wearing where they join to the tierod… gets a bit loose after a while… is your z new or second hand? Also check your servo gears:smiley2:

yeah if there is a small amount its normal its becasue of the system they use with the loops around a pin kinda like in bcg (so they can turn without being restriced)
