      I bought my 2nd Lxx last week for my son. His is just as loud as my Modelllista. This morning I did the reverse pinion mod and noticed it was deformed. It had no disk on the end and the teeth were “deformed”. I put and extra MS pinion on, reversed to keep the idler from moving around, that did the trick once again. Noise decreased and speed increased ! Still noiser that any of my others. I’ll try swapping the idler and axles next for
      s&g.

      yeah on one of my clones the pinion does not have the hole in the middle its sorta off center…its so loud

      My BCG FairLady (with Supra Shell) is loud. It’s still fast, but it has a wicked note to it. =o)

      none of my cars really make alot of sound, buy my mates 3.8 does, and makes it sound awesome, sometimes a bit of noise makes it sound better 😀

      Definately change out the Pinion. Read my post about KIT parts…
