thats a huge amount of air there!
whys the lighter coloured one gettin so much more than the green one?
-

the desert hummer gets more air because it’s running a 8.25:1 (green) gearset, the camo hummer is running a 12:1 gearset. so the desert one is going almost twice as fast, therefore more air.:8ball:

so same amount of batts, tyres, fets e.t.c?
btw, your up late too! (or up REAL early).

both hummers had stock pcb’s and dual cells. the desert hummer has 150 mah nicads and the camo has 70 mah nimhs, so pretty similar. nicads do have more punch though. i’ve since pulled off my first fet mod (hence the late night!:dead:) on a 2 speed lxx pcb and put that in the camo hummer, so they aren’t on an even level any more! and i’m planning on making it a double stack, so maybe it’ll give it’s desert brother some competition!:8ball:

cant wait to see how high the camo one gets once the mod is ready!

IF I can ever get my 4.8V racer reigned in hopefully the air it should clear would be enough to sit down and have lunch within!

Hell I’ll throw my hat over the wall…
I live in Noble Park, and work in Moorabbin during the day, and at Parkmore Shopping Centre at night.
Anyone nearby? -

has anyone noticed the crab on the lxx perfection rx6c chip yet? it’s pretty small but definatly there! (claws in the air) isnt there a bit of history with the chip pictures?
these awesome air shots inspired me to have a go building a monster(i finally had a go!), it aint that beasty but it goes good. it is made with a tomy sbcg chassis so the monster rims and 12:1 rear monster axle are easily swapped for some racing wheels (BONUS!). i used a lego racer $5 set for the tyres and it runes with a perfection 4.2. i need some fets tho cos the steering and power needs more boost.

That ‘crab’ is the symbol of “Realtek” the originators of that chip.
Although I think these days most of the Rxc/Txc chips are made under license by others.

if you mean the steering spring, then no. everything seems to hold up well. i’ve reinforced the shockmount with more solder to stop it bending from repeated landings

i used the pictures in this thread on bitpimps for reference when doing a fet mod: http://www.bitpimps.lixlink.com/pages/phpForum/viewtopic.php?t=1778:8ball:
