      Ohh.. yes.. another monster!

Someday, a couple of weeks ago i said to myself:
?Screw the super bits ? i wanna go outside!?

So.. I started to search the net, for everything in 1:64 scale which would be interesting for this purpose. You guessed right ? off-road!

I looked here and there and as a loyal member of bitpimps i started to check the forums daily for inspiration which would be helpful for my off-roader. The thing which really set this into the high gear, was when betty.k registred at bitpimps, and showed some of his cars. Long story short ? i was sold when i saw his yellow S2000!

Ok then.. How did he do it?
I found out quickly that betty.k had several off-road bits lying around and, thanks betty, he had also pictures of how to do the an off-road bit!

I became a little disapponted when i saw the tools and materials used for this mod, so i ?downsized? the mod.
This was very easy, i founded some plastic, formed it to an h-plate, cutted the chassis and voila. H-plate.

The plastic is very stiff, yet it can still flex alot..

On top of that i added:
      – Legowheels (I am a TRUE dane!)
      – Tomy PCB from my first bit(It was ready for the tin, but i couldnt force myself! It was my first bit!)
      – A Diablo shell.
      – Raised the front tab.
      – H-plate.

This is actually it. Im pretty happy with it, though this car absolutely SCREAMS for more power as the lego-wheels are heavy! Im thinking of dual-cell, but with a Mini-z mad force coming in the next week, i cant afford anything! But hey ? you have to start somewhere right?

      *EDIT*
God, it flexes like up to 30 degrees!
I entered the diablo + the blue evo you can see in the picture in a contest today. It ends tomorrow, and if i win, i’ll get the GT2 pullback or the Trueno pullback. Whaddya think bout that?

Im also think about lowering the body. Making it like a stadium truck.

      *EDIT*
I will not do the stadium-truck, because it didnt look cool, and also didnt have the right functions. Like suspension up front.
I’ve then been thinking about doing the H-plate in the front.
      Can you say “Multi-flex”?
The H-plate seems to have a tendency to brake very easily. I will have to find out something new. Suggestions?
I Also changed the Diablo and putted on the Tomy pullback countach. The long countach looks perfect on the longer chassis. I will also see if i can take som actionpics.

      YEAH BAYBEE!!!:p
top stuff big guy! i think the italian type sports car shells look great on an offroader chassis, damn fine job! don’t be discouraged by the tools and materials, i use scrap rubbish, found parts, drill holes with screwdrivers, grind parts down on concrete, and i only use a ruler to draw straight lines! just hunt around your home, steal your mum’s nailfiles for sanding, whatever!
top setup mate, hell you’ve even painted the wheels!:p lovin’ the h plate, looks very effective. but don’t stop there, it’s SPRING time in the north aint it!?:8ball:

Have to agree with betty.k, Diablo shell just kills! Great job 😉 Now it’s time for the dual (tri ) cell, I saw a tutorial and it didn’t sound too hard… try it when you have some time!

I have a tri cell wild char-g, has a fair bit of torque but needs fets and a wheelie bar. The slipper clutches have failed lol.

Reverse does not work and after hunting around the PCB with a multi meter i am still baffled as to why this is so…

Just had a great idea!!! Using the insides of the wild char-g i am going to attemp to make a dual cell, perhaps fet modded with a 2 speed transmission waddya think??? might use an AFX diff. to make life easier.
