i got an x-speed motor 2day and the guy at the hobby shop told me that it will be faster than the original motor that comes with the mr01 but i didn’t see any difference in power bottom or top end. has anyone had the same results.
o and i have the stock fets too, will i have to run in this motor???? it seems to drain the batteries a bit quicker too.
thanks

it should be faster as there less winds in the motor

yeah and it should have lots more torque as it has stronger magnets too.
there are a few possible explanations for your dilemma:
1 you didn’t get a genuine kyosho xspeed
2 you got a dud (very rare)
3 you already had an xspeed with the sticker removed :8ball: -

1. i did get an genuine kyosho motor brand new in the packet.
2. a dud is a possibility
3. the original motor is a silver case with white plastic back the new 1 is dark silvery case with a black plastic back.
i might put new batteries in the car run it for 5 mins then put the old 1 back in again and see if there is any differencedoes anyone run these motors in before giving em a good trashing???

well after playing around with the motor’s last night i believe that the x-speed is quicker to reach its top seep then the original motor but i could not see a difference in the top speed, but i don’t have a big area to test in.
in the tech area i will be asking the best way to run these babies in thanks guys…
