my new 3.0 motor wont go forwards. unless ofcourse i give it a push start or hit reverse then jam it in forwards…. i thought it might fix itself after i “broke it in” but alas… no change..

There’s something on QFM like this. Something about the motor not sitting flush with the gears or something. of course, there’s always the fact that the motor could be a dud too.

the timeing is off n the motor. try adjusting it a lil. you can also make them faster fwd than backwrds if you adj. the timeing.

My 3.0 is garbage in a bit. it makes a KIT go amazingly fast, but in my bit i can only get it to go forward very slowly, and even then I have to push it to get it started. No doubt it just doesn’t have the torque to get the bit going (after all its about twice the weight of a KIT).

Brett, have you tried it with a 12:1 gear ratio, maybe the ratio you are using is too low. A 3.0 will want to spin, so a higher spinningratio is needed. This will increase power at the wheels and because it is a 3.0 you wont lose too much top end

Best way is to purchase online, you can never rely on the local hobby stores, i have purchased most of my mods online, they are reliable and quick to get them to you!
