Where is everyone getting the 6.56:1 gears?

Kit racer gears I think, not sure. My gears come from the GS-03 gear set:
*edit – copy from a website*
This gear set allows you to adjust factors such as top speed and acceleration. Comes in three different ratios:
12:1 – for increased acceleration
9.86:1 – for an all round medium top speed and acceleration
8.25:1 – for increased top speed

Now that I’e posted this I think it’s wrong??? Isn’t the 12:1 gear the lowest topspeed but highest accel one? Therefore the 8.25:1 is the higest topspeed but lowest accel?
Now I’m confused…..

You were right the second time ph2t.
High number = slower speed, higher accel.

Yes, I’m am aware of the regular gears. ph2t, I noticed in your recent monster creation that you said it had 6:1 gearing (green or something). Where did you nab those?

That was a typo man, it was 8.25:1 ratio, sorry.

got me a super bcg speed upgrade pack, came with two sets of different gears, a pair of nice new knuckles, suspension parts and a tomy 3.0 motor for $8 usd! value plus.
any one got a list of the kit gear ratios to go with the bit gears?

3:1 and 4:1. There are two different 3:1’s but I don’t see how it would change the performance. I could be wrong, but if the motor turns 3 times for every 1 turn of the wheel gear, then I don’t see how it would effect the performance by having different middle gears. I only own one kind of 3:1 gearing, but if I could get a hold of the other kind then I could do some tests with my digital speed checker to see if there is any real difference.

Of course there is a difference with the different gears.
The higher the gearing, the higher the top speed, but you are sacrificing torque, and therefore acceleration, for the top speed.
The only way to get the high top speeds is to use a dual cell, or a fet modded car and some of the Bit (or KITT) racer gears.
The ratios for these are…
4.57:1 (blue) rocket fast on a BCG, but the slower of the Bit racer gears
3.95:1 (red) higher again
3.43:1 (green) absolutely super fast, you need a dual cell AND fet mods to push these gears, but your car will fly. I have clocked speeds up around 28Km/h using this combination. Very hard to control, and you need to slow down before turning, but hey its all good fun.

Thanks for the info on the speeds micro. Make sure you don’t get pulled over in a school zone;)
