      Hiya, someone wanted 900mAh Powertech AAA Batteries, I picked some up from Jaycar in Ringwood today, hopefully they are at a jaycar near you too.

      Yup, the Jaycar in Springvale has them also….

      Was tempted, but I already blew $70 there today :)……

      12v 7Ah lead acid battery
      charger for lead acid battery
      a shitload of 103 ceramics (for motors, lo, what else?)
      some 4xAAA battery holders
      OFC speaker wire, wanna try it as my main motor wire.

      Hopefully my digital peak charger will come from the US before next weekends meet……

      between the two Powertech types i’m not expecting much difference… keen to put em up against the Sanyos this Sunday. Will post results on and off a speed checker, or just off if TD aint there this weekend… extended time of run, length of run before power decrease, etc.

      Can’t really compare them, the 900’s went straight into the aluminum chassis as a 5 pack, I don’t expect there to be much difference, 12.5% more than their 800mAh ones would translate to a little over 1 minute for every 10 minutes you’re already getting. But They might be better than I think – (eg their dischrarge rate could be better, so more top speed for the car, but I really don’t know, havn’t done any real tests, (running them in the same car on a dyno against 800mAh would be interesting (both in terms of initial top speed, and other figures such as runtime down to a set speed eg 10kph.) I dont have a dyno tho 🙁 If anyone knows of a cheap one please let me know.)
