my first official TOMY bit! huzzah!

carefully FET’d by the great uA 🙂

under the bonnet of the r34 is a 4.2 pro, 200mah ni-mh, (i think), FETs and a gold heatsink for the bling factor. my god does this thing fly!!

now all i need is some damn tyres that dont melt on take off:evil:

the auto modellista set with the FETs cost me $60AU, and the rest of the stuff i got off ebay in a pack for $25AU (overpriced i know, but after a problem with toyeast involving them not shipping my goods months after payment, i didnt mind)

forgot to mention! the rx-7 is packing a tomy 3.0 and a standard tomy battery in a shen chassis.

not much competition for the r34, but at least it hasnt have so much torque off the mark that it just sits there eating tyres…

      does it bounce around corners?

my sbcg enzo goes off with a 3.5 (blue tip) and the red gear set, wonder if it would keep up with your skyline there?

yeh bought it with the mod installed. just single FETs.

i couldnt see the point in FET-ing twice if one lot of FETs can give the maximum current from one cell, which is what i run. as for the steering, well, a 4.2 booster with FETS is gonna need alot more than just steering FETs to save is a$$ from major flippage and walls…

      Sure am uA.

the only problems are not having enough room to use it properly and its not very responsive. im not sure if this is because my batteries in the remote are a little old or its the pcb, but my shen chassis is and still was the most responsive. it seems as if the booster pcb is lagging by about half a second?

not saying its your work, but im curious if this is a problem with the remote, the car or the batteries.

im thinking of getting one just like yours twizm from ua too, but i was also considering the initial d set for the same price aswel. kinda torn between the 2, i noe that the auto mod fet from ua is the better choice but im a big initial d fan aswel. choices, choices, choices…

why not get the initial D set and get uA to mod it?
