      hi
      i was wondering if a american AC charger from towerhobbies would fit into a australian ac wall adaptor

      Only with an adaptor, and be careful, USA stuff runs on 120v, Aus is 240v. You cold pop it in the blink of an eye.

      I’d just buy the same thing in Aus to be safe.

      Yeah there’s an Arlec one here that sells for about AU65 that pretty good… Mains and 12v input…. we use it in the office, charges batteries all day long without a worry…

      At least it did until the weather cooled off here in Canberra….

      Do not buy any AC chargers from USA. You’ll need to buy a 240-120V transformer, one which is powerful enough will be expensive and kills any hope of $avings.

      Again, Aaron’s right.

      That Arlec “housebrick” (no guesses why as to the nickname) is very reliable, pumps 3A into your nicads and never fails to peak detect.

      Also pretty sturdy, the electronics are foolproof and the only sure way to kill the brick is to drop it off your table onto hardground. blackeye:

      For ~$65, its great value – however I would not use it for NiMH.
