lets face it theres alot of big problems with the savage, becouse its a new truck and its made to weak.
the biggest problem is the diffs http://www.savage-central.com/ftopic12769.html shows you how to do a 4 spider mod and make your diff cases hold up a little longer.
I have a .25 savage and i like it but leats face it its not made to good and hpi dosent use strong stuff on some things that need to be a little stronger.
if you had any problems with anything post it here im going to make a list and see if hpi will dish out some rebates for parts that should not have broken like the diff cups.

There is a number of incorrect, and correct parts to that post.
For a start, the savage is NOT new, it is around 2 years old and is definatly NOT weak.
Now the 4 spider diff mod will make the diffs stronger and longer lasting.
Next point, HPI doesnt use strong material??? Where have you been living a cave? The Savage will take more of a beating than any other truck ive ever seen, although yes there are certian parts that can be easily modded. http://www.savage-central.com has a huge amount of information regarding the savage truck and has information on many mods that can be done to increase performance.
Also, i dont think HPI will see this thread, but they already know of the problems you have mentioned via watching http://www.savage-central.com and they are working on it.
Also, a T-Maxx is NOT stronger than a Savage, merely faster and not that much faster since my Savage with a stock .25 keeps up with a T-Maxx with a .18 engine in it.
