Hello guys,
I’m sure as many of you on here know the WoahNelly turbo series was a giant-leap in FET-turbo technology for the Mini-Z/Xmod community. I own a couple Nelly Evo’s and a couple Stacked-Nelly Evo’s(Ver.2) and I love ’em.
Back in late 2006 I believe, Matt (PH2T) told me he was taking a break from the Nelly business for a while. I guess a family, job, mortgage, and all that other jazz catches up with us all at some point… What a bummer!:D
But now with Aaron re-emerging, and I’ve seen Ph2t post on here a lil’ bit, I wanted to send a proper shout-out to Matt and say first thank you for the great products as they’ve withstood the test of time fer sure. If you’re out there Matt – Is there any chance of a revitalization of the Nelly series?
I for one am in!:D

If he starts making them again, ever one will want to have one in their arsenal next to one of those sick new “bugs”, i remember topping out at 52mph with one of those monsters installed on a gen1 corvette….lol

Back in the years when I was an Xmod guy, I was all about the speed…. Couldn’t get enough. Now I am a bonafide Mini-Z addict. For racing, I need speed but also throttle resolution to be smooth throughout the powerband. The Nelly gives the best of both worlds – Maximum power throughput for ultimate power delivery efficiency, safety in numbers for running hot motors down to 20turns, and great throttle resolution.

I tried mini-z a few months ago but i couldn’t figure out how to mod the suspension for the ******ed way i steer, on the xmods its as simple as getting alloy part, modding with a little smelting gear, and drilling new holes……lol, so i ended up selling it, anyways no matter what happens, the Woah Nelly HAS to return back to life, i usually don’t get to much into forums because i usually forget the password(i wrote it down this time), but i had to join just to “try” to convince ph2t to start making them again, at least for special orders or something.

Ok guys. School holiday’s start next week. ( i work at a school). I might be able to find some time, see what I can do.
Just studying now for my VCP-310 exam. Any IT nerds will know what that is.
Got the exam tomorrow. Got over 10KG of books I’ve been reading this week. lol, it’s that much it’s easier to describe them by weight.
I know I’m not on much these days, barely touch the cars at all! 🙁
Cheers,
Matt.

Please feel free to PM me with specifics on cost or whatever. Thanks again,

I am still hoping for a WoahNelly Resurrection….. 😀 Please?:D
Here’s the idea I have been having…
Over the past 5 months, with the intro of the MR-03, I have resorted to FET upgrading due to the reduced chassis & PCB size. There just isn’t enough room on the MR03 chassis for a Nelly, when you add a Lap-Counter transponder(I use I-LAP), Top Shock an/or Disk Damper system, body mount system, etc. .I was interested in the Spider v.4 when Ausmicro started selling them back in ~2006-2007, mainly due to the size reduction over the WoahNelly EVO (my favorite Nelly). The Spider v.4 was tiny. SO tiny that I think a SPider v.4 turbo could be fitted onto an MR-03 chassis in the area allotted for the MR-03’s available Giro upgrade. The Kyosho 03 Giro is a small PCB, and although I don’t have the exact size specs, a small external turbo might fit. The MR-03 is an unbelievable chassis, and the 03’s PCB (RA-22 unit) also is so small and condensed.
If you are out there Matt aka ph2t, I hope you are doing well. But I also hope you get the itch to get back into the Nelly game and external-turbo engineering for us Mini-Z addicts! Thanks!

Hey Lozza. My life has changed in the most terrible way, 7 weeks ago my beautiful wife of 9 years died suddenly due to a heart problem we never knew she had. I am barely holding my head above water at the moment and it’s me and my two awesome children (so young…..sigh…) against the rest of the world/future. Nelly is a thing of the past I’m sorry.
Matt.

I am so sorry my friend. I can’t imagine the pain you’re going through… I sincerely hope you are alright and are able to make it through. You and your family will be in my prayers.
I completely understand that this hobby is not in the picture right now. I appreciate your reply and again I am so sorry.
Please take care and be well.Your friend Lawrence McCabe III

Matt, hope time is lessening the sting of such an unfortunate event in your family’s life, this may be “just an RC nerd forum”, but you’re definately one guy who has the respect and support of all us fellow RC nerds.
Glad you got 9 years together before it happened 🙂Woulda PM’ed, but seems not available..
