I’ve just got my first regular ZZ, and was reasonably happy with how it went.

Seeing as I had 2 NPN FETs left over from my Bit, I began searching this and other forums for the dumbass guide to ZZ FET Modding.

Couldn’t find it, most diagrams and links are gone, so I had to nut the damn thing out myself
Even went back to semiconductor basics :sleepy:

I can now say I understand the H Bridge reasonably well, as I probably did ages ago when I did the Bit.

I only intended to FET the forward path. I managed to snap a pin off one FET, so I just replaced it with an NPN tranny…

So what I have now is a “Quarter FET Mod” 😮

It still works, is a little faster, and will do for now…. whatever

Here’s my schematic, if you wanna have FET reverse then you need to replace the other 2 transistors Q5 and Q7, remove resistors R15 and 16, and jumper the Q5 & 7 bases.
