ok guys, i have a grandcell battery charger. it does grandcell alkalines and nimh cells. i have setup my iwaver to use 4 AAA cells as a “pack”. ie, i soldered them together. what i want to do is to modify my charger to put out 5volts instead of 1.5v, so i can charge my pack. at the moment, im using a 5v 300ma power supply from a crappy cordless screwdriver. i think the grandcell charger uses a lm 317 to set the voltage, but im not sure. can anyone help? i will post a pic of the charger, so u knw which one it is, and i will also post a circuit of an old peak detection charger for 1/10 7.2v nicads, that i want 2 see if i can change that and use it maybe. its from the dirt and track rc magazine from years ago.
