The Auto Modellista set, and the Fairlady are booster sets. There are also available (or were) booster controller and cars sold without a body. Haven’t seen one for sale for a while, but I haven’t been looking either.

I think we were all hoping the new super BCGs would be boosters as standard, but that doen’t seem to be the case.

Well, if you haven’t got the AM set or a Fairlady you’re missing out. =o) Boosters are great!

Also, in the US, Microsizer Pro Series has the boost option. They cars available are the Lancer, S2000, Toyota bB, Celica, Skyline, and RX7. Each kit comes with a painted and clear body. Very cool kit!

I believe the fairlady booster is 57mhz, and the AM set is 27mhz.

In Microsizer PROs, three are 27MHz and three are 49MHz.

Boosters are the best, go and get one, even if you are holding out for the new series, they are still heaps of fun. Nothing beats 2 speeds.
Talldude, I’m not sure if you know, but you can get Tomy BCG ‘booster machine sets’ (booster chassis only) in all 4 frequencies.
      :)uA

Also the Lxx TypeR (booster) comes in 6 different freqs, 27,35,40,45,49,& 57MHz 🙂

I’m tempted to buy the booster cars in the other frequencies. I have 2 at the moment, and only ever want to race with them.
