you need to start with a h plate modded bcg. i used my desert hummer in this mod. i m not kidding you, this thing sticks to the ground like snot on a window, and i m talking rough concrete, dirt, the road, and even in the bluestone gutter! and it only has little lego wheels! it s a dual cell with a tomy 2.2 and stock orange gears.
hopefully this inspires some of you to get moddin , i can t keep this pace up for ever!:dead: don t make me pull a bcg ball diff mod on ya!

      and you know i will!!!:8ball:

Nice work betty:) I think you should make this a package (or even just the h plates) or accept ppls cars and do the mod much like micro amps does with the mosfet?

ok gang (well mainly ph2t!), i’ve done a proper tutorial on building a rear shock, starting with a cut chassis.

just click on the first pic and scroll through one by one. the text should be under each pic. and for those that don’t want to try this one, i’m happy to do conversions, just pm me with what you want:8ball:

this is the template i used originally. it measures 29 x 17mm. but i’ve redesigned the new ones. they are a 2 piece design, rigid plastic to the rear and a more flexible and durable plastic on the chassis which acts as a hinge. there’s a pic here

Those tutes are bloody excellent man! Great work! Just one question. Do the springs I have given work well for this application?

      cheers,

      ph2t.

yeah, they’re the perfect amount of tension. you may have to widen them for the rear shock so they move freely over the shock shaft. i do this by winding it onto a drill bit that’s the right diameter. tomy slot car springs are also excellent on the rear:8ball:
