From the Hobbit hole.
Now some of you know I love racing, nearly all kinds. Being born in the 60’s I didn’t get to see the heyday of some of the greatest road racing series ever.
So I had to pay homage to one of these series.
The series officially called for Canadian-American tracks it was raced on.
Can-Am
This was a little more ambitious than my normal entries. I actually modified a Chassis, 😮 yes shocking.
So here are the shots.
First up I extended a clone chassis and added the wheels from my Ferrari set. I also put springs for the front suspension.
I custom built the body (sounds like something I’ve done before.) but the color scheme I needed something that would fit, and I had decals for.
I had some testers paint pre thinned for the airbrush, but most of the colors looked off for this project.
Wait there is a decent blue color.
And it’s Sun Oil Company Blue.
Now I’ve have it mounted to the chassis.
I hand painted the numbers, arthritis not too bad today.
Hope you like.
