But that is under NO LOAD WHATASOEVER.

The tamiya SC still takes some effort to move 4 rollers, and the friction from the tyres.

112kph to be exact! See the 2nd video, it’s clocks in at 31.4m/s.

That pinion is huge, from the mount it looks like an mr02.

I’d like to know where you get those rims and tyres!!!!!

Great work Dejan and welcome to Ausmicro!

wonder what the accleration will be with that huge pinion. it has good top speed on a speed checker. and is the chassis a kit or custom made?

here’s something to chew on guys… I had to thread-lock the screws that hold my motor mount to the o-plate so it stays there for more than 10 seconds, otherwise all 4 screws just vibrate out.

if it’s vibrating the screws out try some other motors your armature may be unbalanced causing excesive vibration (and also being inefficient)

Merc, the king of useless info lol ….

Vibration is caused by many things, not just motor vibration, track surface etc.
You should try running a nitro engine without threadlock, a few seconds and the engine is sliding around on its mount!!

Dave, can i ask what your motor mount is made from?? i.e. delrin or alloy??

Try “red” threadlocker, as its very strong and needs a lot of encouragement to come undone.

If it’s a plastic or delrin motor mount, and you have used threadlock, kiss it’s arse goodbye, CA glue is the best for plastic threads…..

Worn threads can also prove to be a bitch.

Jamie; GPM motor mount, aluminium. That red threadlocker you refer to is Loctite 222, got some on order, it WILL fix my problems (tested it at work last Thursday.) Anyway, the thing is shaking itself apart… now the mount screws are locked in, the damn bulkhead ones come undone. And would rather not lock them into place…blackeye:

Another solution to using locktite in places where you cant becasue it eats it away is to use liquid gasket sealant on the threads. Works good.

      heres a carbon kit dude

      http://mini-zracer.com/shop/product.php?pid=787

not tooo sure if its a 4 or 5 cell kit as they are selling batt packs with 4,5 and even 6 cells that are designed to fit this carbon set up.

but its $74 US for the chasis parts alone!

its up to you i guess if you want em.
