      i finally finished my classic inspired mad force body!

      i used real aluminum tape for the trim

      i even wrapped the grille in aluminum tape

      i did this for the rear spoiler as well

      i also installed cut outs for the light buckest too

      …nice work arch…looking good..you are getting better and better 🙂 Its going to be fun for us to start on the lexan bodies too…I really need some more time to work on bodies but as you very well know i am pretty maxxed out for time…looks really good…Is that one of the blanks you got from PanicToys?

      i’m pretty sure that aluminium tape is available here. i’ve seen chrome and gold in sheets at the hobby shop:8ball:

      the tape should be available in any hardware store. i used hvac aluminum ductwork tape. i’m sure art supply stores might have other sticky back foil.

      yes, the crease in teh spoiler sucks but it’s not easy applying a fat surface material to a compound curved object:clown: it loks much better than painting it silver

      i guess i could get the same look from our chrome silver or gold (mirrored) vinyl that we have here at work… might give it a whirl:)

      thin as… about 1/15 of a mm or so. About a quarter of the thickness of the other vinyls we use. Marks pretty easy, you’ve gotta be careful with it…
