Something disasterous has happened, the world has suffered an apocalypse of Australian proportions.

ausmicro.com is proud to launch our NEW Styling Competition.

“The End is a Begining” is devised to capture the reliable cinema genre of Apocalypse in driveable Radio Controlled art.

Your challenge is to use a combination of White (plain) autoscale bodies or your choice of any hobby kit body to build a racer that reflects the spirit and life following apocalypse.

Using the Australian or NZ films “Mad Max” (1,2,3), “On the Beach”, or “The Quiet Earth” as your inspiriation you can go crazy with no-limits. Well except for our modest rules.

      * A White body Autoscale (unpainted) or ~1/24th plastic model kit body MUST be your starting point. Entrants building Bit Char-G class cars can modify from ‘stock’ shells.

      * You must be able to describe how your entry fits into the theme of your chosen film. You do NOT have to build a car from these films, but one that fits the theme. Pick a film (they’re all different genre of apocalyse) watch it then get creative.

      * You cannot enter a MadMax Intercepter or build clones of it or any other Skynet/Aoshima Autoscale shell. We want something new something different!

      * Judging will be done by your peers, using the Competition Gallery System – and also by a select panel of ausmicro.com personalities. There will also be a judge from outside our community.

      Prizes:
      First:
A chassis performance package to make the winner a true racer. Consisting of PN Racing engine mount in colour of your choice. A PN Racing S04 motor. Pack of IRF7317 FETs and a iWaver Light Kit we’re talking over AUD100 worth of booty!

      Second:
Rev-up a racer for tight tracks with the exceptional stock FET friendly PN Racing SpeedyNM motor and keep your wheels turning smooth with the latest PN Racing rubber sealed bearing set.
