i jus got into this whole bit char-g crave and well,i alsogotten a bunch of my friends to buy these cars, and we all want to race them, the only problem is that there are only 4 frequencey bands, 27, 35, 45, and 57.
i recall you saying this on a forum:
Standard controllers will not control the 2-speed cars
AT ALL. They use a different set of frequencies (“B”
set) on the respective 27MHz, 25MHz, 45MHz and 57MHz
bands for each car.The multi-controller, however, is default to “B” set
frequencies (for the Booster cars), however, there is
a little A-B-C switch on the rear of the controller.
By selecting “A” you can also use it as a replacement
controller for your normal cars (non-boosting, of
course 😉BTW – The “C” frequency set will be used to control
the upcoming Bit Char-G subs, earthmoving equipment
and tanks.SO DOES THAT MEAN THAT THE BOOSTER CARS ON A SET “B”
FREQUENCEYAND THE NON-BOOSTER FREQUENCEY SET “A”
ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT BANDS? GIVING US THE OPTION OF
PUCHASING 8 CARS TOTAL TO RACE??? 4 FOR THE NON
BOOSTER AND BOOSTER CARS. SO IN CONCLUSION, DOES THAT ALSO MEAN THAT THE FREQUENCIES WONT INTEFERE, SO WE DONT END UP
CONTROLLING OTHER CARS????? SO, THIS IS WHAT I WANTED
TO KNO, IF A 57 MHZ BOOSTER CARCOULD BE CONTROLLED BY
NON BOOSTERED CONTROLLER AT 57 MHZ, AND VICE VERSA.im confused, someone help me!!!!!!!!

Anyone got a frequency counter and a four-channel remote to check this? I’ve got the frequency counter, but no four-channel remote.

Hey Robby – and welcome (I see you’re a first-time poster!)
The unfortunate answer here is NO. There is WAY too much cross-talk between cars within each band for an 8-car race. eg A 57MHz “A” car picks up unwanted signals from a “B” car, despite the signal differences.
If TOMY did some work on lowering the acceptable frequency tolerances to, say, 5% of nominal – then this situation could be turned around.
On the other hand, an OEM car and genuine Char-G of the same frequency can live happily together. Thus a 4 x Char-G and 4 x OEM race would be possible.
Cheers

Hi there, waiting for my booster cars to appear in the good old UK here.
Could you take the electronics out of an OEM and put it in a bit-char, and then run more than 4 bit-char.

Ummm… Soooorrrreeee, your wrong there….
You know those two I OEM cars I recently purchased? One is 27Mhz and the other 45, well they wont work as you state!…
My mate’s 27MHz and my 45Mhz interfere with each other…
How?… You ask…
Well… It’s a funny thing… When operating the OEM car, whilst there was still a charge in the other (Special Ed), when you push the button to go forward, the other car goes backwards!!!
And vice versa…
Both sets of frequencies and both controllers affect the others in the same way… Except, oddly enough, for the steering… Both controllers send the same message…
Just had to set the record straight…
BTW, what happened with the site? I’m away for a few days and things are changed… Again…
Ciao…
