hi guys, it’s been a while since I did this kinda stuff..

just got hold of a 2nd hand MR015, I knew the motor FETs were probably stuffed, but there’s no response from the steering either..

I do have power at the board (tested ok where the power leads solder on, switch also is ok).

Do blown motor FETs somehow stop everything else from working?

Also thinking it’s not an original board, the soldermask is blue, and the FETs (3004’s) are in different locations. Has “Neo Z Racer” printed on it.

have answered my own question: bought a pack of FETs thru Ausmicro shop (THANKS Aaron 😀 ), did an ugly install/replacement job.

Am pleased to report I have my first ever working genuine Kyosho Mini Z (MR015).

Throttle is way to sensitive though, will try driving it with my Firelap (Inopo) radio to tame it down some.
