      Dave you may have to turn the feature on 😉 It should be working (although it does annoy the stuffing out of me so I always have it turned off)…

      I’ll do some testing!

      I dont even want to know about it, all my emails get sms’d to my phone……..:S how annoying.

      I’m not getting any. Hmmmm… I don’t mind the extra mail, it’s just a delete button form death, ya know.

      I tick the Notified by Email box (I’ll do it now again just to prove a point… there, done.) I do have my email hidden in user profile, and I have the newsletter turned off. might they effect this?

      It doesn’t Dave, I ticked the message in the system and voila and it sent me mails.

      I’ve installed a new feature to the “Quick Reply” and will test that with this message!

      I didn’t get an email. I got your PM when I came in here, but not any emails at all. :dead:

      Oh, hang on, Now I see a “Notied by Email” box on the left, and a “Notify this user” with by PM and by Email underneath the Reply box. I assume the ones under are for letting 1 person know about the post you’re sending, and the one on the left is if I want to be kept up to date by email of future posts on this discussion, yeah?

      Yeah something like that Dave, I’m trying to work it all out. The bit in the bottom is a new addition I installed today to let people respond to ForSale or question type posts better 😉 Uses the same engine though.

      Nope. I’ve changed the address in my profile to another of my email addresses. I’ve received the confirmation email, so it’s not blocked. sigh. lets wait and see.

      It works now. I changed the email address, got the confirmation email, and opened the site. Then I did the same again, but this time changed my address back to what it was before, and now it works.

      Thanks for you help and persisnatnce guys. Not sure why the address didn’t work before, as it’s exactly the same again now.

      I turned on the email notification for my PM’s and got jammed!!!!! I guess I didn’t realise it was for each individual PM so I was inundated with pointless emails!!!!

      Grrrrrrrr

      So I tried to turn it off, deselected the check box radio button thingy, and guess what?

      I am still getting emails!!!
      Now am getting like 20 emails per day saying I have a new Private Messages!!!

      Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhh

      It’s probably tough to fix I dunno 😉

      I’ll play with some settings… There may be a “Master” override that forces the PM notification to go…
