yep motor is the first one, then the battery is the next one, these are the first 2 to do and then go onto modding it like dual battery, etc. Try http://www.bitchargoz.tk for a range of hop ups in oz.

take off all the parts of the car tyhat have not use. For example, take off the spoiler on your car or dremels down some parts of your chassis. Heck, maybe even remake a body out of somethinf lighter… the possibilities are endless

Sorry, i withdraw my last statement. Didn’t see Barrelll’s Link, thanks alot Barrelll. Man that 3.5 motor looks good, is it worth getting?

3.8 motor is probably the best all round motor going around…

That 3.8 that barrelll sells is a monster! Giant torque, acceleration and top speed. Get it!

If i got that motor, would i need to get a new battery?

By replacing battery you don`t gain speed it extends the runtime.
For higher speed you need:
-Perfection 3.8 or 4.2 motor
-higher ratio gearsFor top speed you need:
-4.2 motor
-Mos-fet mod
-dual-cell mod
-Bit racer gears -

Heeeyyy, Matic finally makes an appearance.
Words of wisdom from the other side of the world.
Good to see you on Ausmicro Matic.
(Sorry, getting off topic here)
He’s right tho, the things on the bottom of the list will get you going REAL fast.

I think maybe a tricell Mod will bring u even higher Top Speeds but the lack of acceleration is the upset.

Plus theres the problem of finding room for the extra cells.

Anything over a 2 cell mod is a waste of time unless you want a drag car.
They cant steer because they are too heavy with cells, and just tip over all the time.

Dude, that is so true. If anything I just focus my dual cell modding on lxx boosters. That way you have the two speeds to work with and it’s a bit more managable.

Tri cell is bad for drag already due to the extra weight/load for the motor. It’s acceleration is slower than a Dual cell so there is no point to make one for drag. but to tackle a top speed, tri cell/quad cell is good(before u burn the motor:D)

Yeah, you need to be careful on the high voltage bits, only run them for short bursts. If the motor heats up it can burn out. They still run afterwards, but they are very weak because most of the torque producing windings are open circuited.

I find out Tomy 2.6s has bad qualities. I got two and both of them just suddenly stopped running. It didn’t even got hot. Weird
