heatshrinking?

      How do you heatshrink things?

      heatshrink is rubbery sorta tubing use to insulate wire. buy it from an electronics shop in precut lengths. simply slide it over a solder join you want to insulate and heat with a mini hot air blower or a lighter. it will shrink and hold close to the join. you can just use electrical tape but heatshrink is neater and more durable

      if u wanna make battery packs u need it in sheets.. i dunno how u use that thou

      Battery pack heatshrink is still in tubing, but the diameter is larger and the heatshrink plastic is much thinner. You can buy it in sizes that are specifically for different battery sizes, eg AA or C. Most good hobby shops carry it.

      Quick tip, if you work for a small business with a co-operative boss 🙂 you should be able to get a wholesale account with electus (listed on the back of the 2003 catalog, Jaycar seems to be the retail arm for electus, ther’s quite a bit to be saved using electus.
