Wow, that merc body is very nice:) If they pitch in the viper body I think that it is worth a shot. It comes down to how much $ you can afford?

I also like the RSX body they have:approve:.

Let us know how it handles if you do get it?

Ok, I’m not affiliated with “RCV.com” or whatever they call
      themselves… but that page’s ad looks dodgy-as… 🙁

The car they describe… heck, you can’t even tell what
they’re trying to sell you there… its all a mishmash!!

      1) from the description “9V Battery for Controller”…
this suggests the HPI Dash chassis.

      dashboxess.jpg

Note this is a VERY BASIC, BEGINNER “RTR” toy!!

Moreover, the RRP on this thing is only US$100!!:shock:

      2) the HPI Dash doesn’t come with Merc body…
and all Dash comes painted from HPI – no Paint-It-Yourself choice.

      3) the HPI Dash uses a 380 motor, not 540.

Here, check it yourself… HPI Dash

Personally imho the DASH is meant for kiddies, if you know
anything about RC I’d steer clear from this one, even for $100.

Go for the HPI SPRINT instead, at least this one is a real ‘hobby’
RC car, with decent radio gear, battery and ESC all factory-built
and RTR… all for about US$200 on the streets. A decent buy.

      Lookie here: HPI SPRINT

Most important… the Sprint’s TX *don’t* use 9V battery!!!

If you’re in US, check out Tower Hobbies for pricing on HPIs.

yea thats what i was thinking, because i saw both the sprints and the dash cars before i found this site and was a little suspicous. Plus i saw the bodies and became even more suspicous. Thats why i posted this. Not only that but it was wierd how they never showed a picture of the things insides or the box.

They look good as they’re HPI’s usual RC shells.
You can buy them to suit any standard 1/10 touring car.

The Dash is factory-assembled and painted.
But they are a *very* basic chassis, for total beginners.
If you’re in this market, check also the Tamiya “QD” cars.

Tamiya’s “XB” series is same-level as the Sprint.
They have real RC radios and cars are like the RC kits you build.

380 and 540 are the physical “size” of the motor.
The company Mabuchi named them like that.

The 380 is a lot smaller. You cannot fit a 540 in there
without major surgery. In most cases its impossible.

540 is the ‘standard’ size motor for hobby RC.
They come in many levels of tune, from the stock RS540
“silvercan” Mabuchi, to the various “stock” motors
then all the way to crazy “modified” motors.

Regardless of the power they advertise, they are all the
Same Size, thus they can drop straight into your car.

540 is actually about 3-4 times the power of a 380.

if your lookin for a good deal and some mean proformance its hurts me to say dont get a hpi or a the car i love the schumacher. you can get a tc3 rtr for the same price as a hpi sport but you get a hitec linx controler lpp esc full perings composit cvd’s pro line tires and rims and no car can take turns as fast as the tc3

but 198 is to much for a hpi i think the tc3 rtr is around $200-230 check towerhobbies.com they offer the benz body with or a 300m or a andys stratus pre painted .

but im all for schumacher thats all i buy in 1/10th scale i got a mission carbon with every hop up but i still could take turns as fast as those tc3’s and i got to drive 1 and i love the way it hanndles but its not a schumacher so sadly i wont buy 1 but shaft drive is more efficant than belt and you dont need to worry about your belts flxing or snapping or stuff getting in them

but look at the tc3 then look the hpi over or just look at the chassy the tc3 is pretty 🙂 oh yeah hpi uses gear diffs and the tc3 has a ball diff and wow the stock ball diff is the smoothist diff i ever felt but all my cars diffs are locked but thats how i like to drive you might hate it or you might like it ya never no

but will that car ever hit 25mph maybe if you use 12volts thats a really slow motor the fastest stock motors are in the tc3 a 19 turn and in the traxas 21 turn .

but all i can tell you is look at all the componets on the cars

schumacher are alot i got the mission carbon.

if you want a fast stock rtr car get the tc3 rtr

if you can find a used schumacher sst99 pro get it those are nice cars.

schumacher is like the ferari of rc tamiya would be the honda alot of sh#$ cars but some are like the nsx and fast.

schumacher coust alot to run hop up and fix.

but if you want a rtr car that your gonna race you only have 2 choices the tc3 or the losi xxxs its like picking between a camaro and a mustang
