quick tutorial for those wanting to make treads less sticky.
1.get your little car, and hold the throttle on.
2. prime the nib of a black posca paint pen.
3. coat the tires in a thin layer of black paint being carfull not to get the rims.
4. wait to dry and repeat….
put about 10 layers on one of my q-steers and it likes to do donuts now. turns a lot sharper even on carpet also. has very little traction now though so inclines are pretty imposible.
when you do this it appears like the paint cracks but after a bit of driving the dried paint “polishes” up and becomes a little shiney.
unfortunatly the little cars dont have enough grunt/weight to leave black marks when they break traction even on paper. this will be fixed i hope with tinkering and then this will be awesome.
