Hi I have just purchased a hpi micro rs4, I also purchased a hacker e30-13l brushless motor and a quark speed controller. I thought the motor will bolt straight onto the motor plate but it doesnt. Have I bought a motor which will not work. Does the mamba bolt straight on??
Please help thank you so much in advance. Jim.

      Welcome to ausmicro buddy.
Mamba brushless motors can go on stock motor plate out of box. I’m not sure what size the hacker motor is but i think With the Hacker they’ll need the Team Orion Big Block’s motor plate if it’s a size 280/300 motor.

PS: please move this thread to 1/18 forum. thanks

you only really have 3 options:

      1. buy a big block motor mount as leon suggested
      2. make your own or modify your existing one
      3. get the mamba

let us know how you go :8ball:

      Hi Jim,

check out what roelof did to get his brushless mrs4 going.

I’d upgrade your drivetrain too, if you’re quick, theres a front balldiff on ebay (USA only I’m afraid) they’re quite rare now.

Also make sure that your battery pack will provide sufficient current to supply the thirsty little motor.
