the camera runs on a nimh 9v batt which sits behind it. i made a frame and rollcage from mechano parts so it’s protected from rollovers.:8ball:

That is awesome, I could think of a few things I could do with that…
…A while ago, some teenagers in China were caught mounting those pin hole cameras on the inside tip of their shoes and getting onto crowded trains…

Mobile AV bug….now thats cool!!
BTW, whats the range of the tank TX, and the Video TX?

the tank tx/rx is just a cheapy with a rx/tx2c chip, like bcg controllers. so far range for the tank and cam is 40 odd meters. and that’s through walls. i’ve never tried line of sight yet and i reckon the range would be better in the country.
it seems that distance isn’t the biggest range killer, rather it’s certain areas. there are some parts of my yard that are notorious for killing the signal, large metal objects like a garage door and phone lines are my biggest problems. around my place, 27mhz works best.:8ball:

I reckon at 207:1 the g/b would hold up to a PD. It would also climb ANYTHING!.

if it goes too fast it’s too hard to manouvre into position. i’d put hotter motors in if i had proportional control. the gearbox can be configured to produce a ratio of 58:1 or 203:1. with the 90t tamiya motors and 58:1 gearing it covers a meter in about 2 seconds, not a speed machine:8ball:

put a pair of PD’s in it at 58:1!!!
