I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on building an internal dual cell. I have done a conventional dual cell, and a tri cell mod I did by stretching the chassis. I aslo know that the pcb has to be flipped, but has anyone had problems with the steering wires interfering with the second battery?

I saw a post on another forum in which the guy made a notch in the cover post. If I’m careful and use my dremel, I might succeed.

i used a heated up screwdriver and a needle tipped soldering iron to “smolder” the plastic away

good idea gt-ahh. I have a conventional dual cell car that I am getting a Castrol Skyline body for, so I want to make it sort of a sleeper with the second cell inside. That is the true purpose of this project. So when my freinds come over with their cars, they’ll have no idea what they’re in for!

yeah and using heat would also help abit because you can remould the plastic to some extent…

This is how I made a couple of dual battery mods:
Made the hole in the back slightly larger, the extra battery isn’t actually fixed down and the mod isn’t permanent, the connecting wire is preventing it from coming loose.

No biggie. I just finished putting the second battery in. I am in the process of flipping the pcb, and should be finished soon! I am really happy with the way it’s turning out.
Thanx for the suggestions guys…..

Well, It’s finished, but it doesn’t work. I would love to post pics but it would seem that I am digicam deficient.
Too many bits to list
