Hi,
I’m looking for circuit diagrams for the Tx and Rx for the BCG.
I know that theres a Tx schematic on QFM but I was wondering if anyone had diagrams for the different versions of each transmitter.
Also I’m looking for diagrams on the car.
TIA

It’d be nice to see the differences between a normal and a booster controller and car. If it’s simple, people could convert their cars and remotes to boosters.

Sorry, we’ve only ever got 1 schematic for the US Microsizer 49MHz from the patent office and that’s it. No cars, no different freqs, nothing.

The booster Rx pcbs are completely different anyway. Im not sure but I dont think that mod would be an easy one

are you talking about this schematic diagram ?
it’s cool~ how did they get that !?http://tinyrc.com/qfm/racing/dls/tx_schem.jpg
http://tinyrc.com/qfm/racing/download.htmand i think mod-ing the Rx is not that easy
i heard that they use different chips (the area covered by the black substance) in the newer modelEdited by – nsx on 20 January 2003 17:09:39

Any clever buggers able to draw the schematic of a booster car and controller?

Thanks for your replies guys! (or girls whichever is more appropriate)
Its a pity that these schematics aren’t avaliable, but then again I guess that has more to do with copyright laws and patents and what-not, than TOMY not wanting people to mod their bits…
I’ll echo DaveF’s request, anybody able to draw a schematic from whats there?
(I don’t know anything about SMD so I can’t even give drawing one of the Rx a shot.)
GT-ahh, Thanks for that basic schematic!

Schematic and circuit diagrams are as useful as taking a photocopy of the PCB. You still won’t know what’s under those black blobs – custom ICs – and what they do.

Couldn’t that be estimated/guessed at by looking at the schematics that are currently on the web? Surely the ones under the blobs are the key chips?

Er, what’s under the black blob is widely documented — it’s an RX2 chip made by Realtek (among others). Pinouts are floating about these forums, as are full descriptions of what it does. Although the pinout is not very easy to relate to the epoxied die-on-board version, as the pins (and nearby components) are blobbed.
The best explanation I saw was on a micro-flight site, where one chap had a detailed description of the RX2 and TX2 chips …
No, I don’t have the link, sorry 🙁
Mike.

This is the original (non Booster) TX right?
‘Cos the new Booster TX is a totally different PCB, with a few more blobs.
