      Hi all,

Just got my two booster cars and am painting my modular track made from floor tiles.

Hav’nt had any range problems my self, but thought you might find this link intersting

      http://www.mars.sphere.ne.jp/ex2/bit/b_custom.htm

Its the same chap who did the two and three speed modifications and the full set of lights on a celica, so I think he knows what he is talking about

Running the above link through the translator you can see he is suggesting two modifications to the 4-band transmitter to improve it. The first seems to be replacing the antenna with the ‘old’ type. Not quite sure what he is going on about, anyone figure it out?

The second involves modifying the buttons. Must admit the buttons on mine are hard to push down, I’m tempted to try this one.

      Steve

Near as I can tell, He is saying that the swapping of antenna’s from the old controller to the new one increased the range 1 and 1 half the distance…. Something to try…

yep, just did it. my 1 minute summary is up with pics of why you would do it. the old antenna is way longer which SHOULD equal better range. cehck out my page. b

What kind of improvement did you get in reception? Is it comparable to the existing stock controller? Can you post before/after results?
