The NanoDragon ESC is a combined Reciever and ESC unit that outputs a channel to a “regular” Futaba type servo for steering.

The ESC utilises 4 TO-220 packaged N-channel MOSFETs for drive. Namely IRF3803 units.

At 4.5v these have a resistance of about 0.009 ohms dropping to 0.006ohms with a 10V drive.

As yet I have not measured the drive voltage son the PCB in operation.

Now the hunt is on for a more efficient replacement and maybe something else for a special project.

It would appear that the IRF3713 is a drop in which will halve the resistance which is huge!

      Datasheets are attached

0.009 is a pretty good value to start off with man, can you take some DMM measurements on the gate pin to see what the mosfets are being drivin at?

Yeah that’s my next plan 😉 Gotta get myself some new clip-on leads for the DMMs – lost them a while back…

By the weekend I’d be thinking I’ll have the measurements…
